Where We’ve Been, And Where We’re GoingSans Pants Productions began as a loose, creative collaboration between college friends before maturing into a full-fledged corporation. Its core members — Mike Api, Evan Menak, John Rebecchi, David Storch and Christopher Vespoli –- all met while attending Hofstra University on New York’s Long Island. They first pooled together their writing, performance and production talents in 2004 when they began working on Thursday Nite Live, a student-run sketch comedy television series. The five continued to pursue comedy after graduation, and began releasing sketches and parodies on YouTube in 2007 under the name Sans Pants Productions. Videos like Guess Jew?, Let Me Get That For Ya and The Maury Povich Home Paternity Test gained popularity on sites like CollegeHumor, and led to appearances and features on NBC’s Today, Maury and G4′s Attack of the Show. Feeding off this success, Sans Pants Productions organized into a limited liability corporation and entered into a YouTube Content Partnership in late 2008. In 2010 and beyond, SPP strives to become a leader in affordable, high-quality video content through its unique blend of irreverence, wit and brand attentiveness. What We DoWe’re a team of writers, performers, producers, shooters, directors and editors based in New York and Los Angeles. Our comedy sketches, parodies and commercials have garnered millions of views online and on-screen, and have attracted national and international publicity. As a full-service, for-hire production company, we’re always looking to take on new projects – from viral video marketing campaigns to traditional television commercials. |
